The importance of cleansing your face and how to choose the right face cleanser:

Washing your face is one of the most important steps in a skin care routine. It gets rid of all the dirt, bacteria, makeup, oil, and other things that can get trapped in your pores and cause breakouts.

You should cleanse your skin every morning to get rid of all the bacteria, toxins, and other things your body released while it was sleeping. It’s also important to cleanse the skin in the morning to remove the dead skin cells since the skin regenerates at night. It leaves the skin fresh and ready for the day, and it also helps with the makeup application, making it easier and smoother.

Cleansing the skin each night is also a very important step because it removes all the makeup, dirt, bacteria, oil, dead skin cells, and other things that can get on your skin from the environment. Not washing your face at night can lead to a lot of breakouts because all that dirt, oil, makeup, etc will sink into your pores and clog them. The skin also needs to be clean and fresh so it can regenerate better at night.

Now that we know the importance of washing your face morning at night, it’s important to know which face cleanser is the best for your skin type. It’s important to choose a cleanser that’s made specifically for your skin type so your skin can look and feel its best.

Dry/sensitive skin:

If you have dry skin and don’t get every oily, you should use a face cleanser that is not too harsh and that won’t strip the natural oils of your skin and leave it much drier. Look for cleansers that don’t have strong fragrances or strong chemicals that can irritate the skin. A very mild cleanser is the best option for you.

Face cleanser:

Philosophy Purity Made Simple Face Cleanser

Purchased at: Sephora. $35.00 - 16oz

This is a one-step face cleanser that’s very mild. I recommend this for dry skin because it cleanses the skin very well and gets rid of the oils and makeup without leaving the skin dry. I have oily skin and I still use this in the winter time. I find that it doesn’t leave my skin super tight, but it still gets rid of the oil and dirt. It has a rich, creamy lather and it doesn’t feel harsh. It’s also fragrance-free.

Normal skin:

This is obviously the easiest skin type to work with. However, it’s important to be careful and choose a face cleanser that will leave the skin balanced. A cleanser that’s too harsh will make your normal skin dry, while a very mild one might not be enough and might leave it a little oily.

Face cleanser:

Clearasil Daily Clear Oil-Free Daily Face Wash
Purchased at: Rite Aid. -  $5.99

This is one of my favorite skin cleansers. I find that it’s the perfect cleanser for normal skin because it’s efficient enough to cleanse away all the oil and makeup, but gentle enough where it doesn’t leave the skin very dry and tight feeling. It has a fresh fragrance that does not irritate the skin and it also has 2% salicylic acid, which helps with breakouts. It’s the perfect everyday cleanser.

Oily skin:

Oily skin is a very tricky one. It’s important to choose a cleanser that is strong enough to cleanse all the oil and buildup on the skin, without irritating it or leaving it very dry. Oily skins can get away with stronger face cleansers, but they shouldn’t bee too harsh. Most people who have oily skin struggle with breakouts, so it’s essential that the face cleansers are oil free and have some sort of acne medicine in them to help combat the acne and clean the skin deeply.

Face Cleanser:

L’oreal Go 360 Clean Deep Facial Cleanser
Purchased at: Rite Aid. - $5.99

This face cleanser is perfect for oily skin. It has a gel consistency that cleanses deep down the pores and it leaves the skin oil free. It has a very fresh smell that leaves the skin very fresh and clean. It also has a ‘‘scrublet’’, to help maximize the cleansing. It massages the skin while exfoliating away the dead skin cells, makeup, oil, and dirt.
